We would like to congratulate Fano (Fano Labs) for winning the Emerging Enterprise Award 2024, jointly organized by The Business Times and OCBC Bank. Fano was one of three winners chosen from a field of over 650 contenders, alongside Kskin Management and Pancare Medical.
The Emerging Enterprise Awards celebrate small and medium-sized enterprises under 10 years old that show innovation, growth, and the ability to scale internationally. Since launching in 2021, Fano has been making waves in the AI-driven language solutions space with a focus on automatic speech recognition, speaker diarisation, voice biometrics, and natural language processing. These technologies enable computers to understand the complexity of real-world human conversations across multilingual environments—regions like Singapore for example, where speakers often switch between languages, dialects, or accents. Fano’s solutions cater to a wide range of industries, including banking, telecommunications, and public services, helping these organizations enhance their communications, streamline operations, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency.
Following the establishment of an office in Singapore earlier this year as the first step toward expansion into the APAC market and having been accredited by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Fano is now taking steps into the Taiwanese market with a dedicated team that understands local needs. Fano’s Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model now supports Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, and English.
In line with its international growth and the need to appeal to a global customer base, Fano recently completed a brand transformation, led by Fano’s core team and our Director of Brand Impact, Freddie Luchterhand. The new brand is rooted in how Fano unlocks performance with critical accuracy.
To top it off, Fano was recently recognized as one of ASEAN’s top growth-stage companies at the NextGen Tech 30.
Looking ahead, Fano will continue its plan to expand its language engine to support more APAC languages and to bring its solutions to even more markets in the region. Congratulations again to the Fano team on their journey and achievements!
