Stella Wang is an alumni of our OpenHours program, where she was Freddie's, our VP for brand and marketing, mentee. She is also the founder of QuantFood Group, where she and her team have been actively promoting contemporary Sichuan cuisine since 2018. QuantFood is backed by Fenghe Fund and Asia’s leading Angel investors. The company now owns innovative cloud-kitchen delivery brand Chengdu Bowl, and offline restaurants NUMB and Chengdu Restaurant. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Stella worked as an investment analyst at Credit Suisse and Nomura. She received her bachelor’s degree in Statistics from National University of Singapore and her master degree in Applied Statistics from University of Oxford. She is a fellow of MiraclePlus Fund (former Y Combinator China).
We asked her about her thoughts on the OpenHours program, and here's what she had to say:
The OpenHours Program is a valuable resource for female founders looking to build their confidence, skills, and networks in the VC space. It's encouraging to see initiatives like the OpenHours Program working to bridge the gender gap in entrepreneurship and provide support for underrepresented groups. I personally enjoyed the mentorship and guidance that the program offers to increase diversity in the startup ecosystem, and through the program I got to know a lot of outstanding female founders and investors.
I hope that more programs like this continue to emerge and that we can create a more inclusive and equitable environment for all entrepreneurs to thrive.
Thank you Stella!
