Ask two questions. First, would you use your product yourself? And second, how will it help people materially improve their lives? Always think of yourself as the ‘resident human' in your business.

At Openspace, Freddie leads the Brand Impact practice. He works with portfolio companies to define strong brands upstream in the value creation process, and then ensure it is effectively implemented internally and externally. He applies a brand and culture lens in assessing our new consumer investment opportunities and oversees initiatives to grow the firm's reputation overall.

He was formerly the Regional Strategy Director (SEA) at Landor & Fitch, the world's leading brand and design consultancy. During his time there, he delivered brand strategy and communications strategies for B2B and B2C companies, across various sectors and geographies. Prior to that, he spent time at Flamingo, delivering insights through studies that focused on consumer behaviour, cultural shifts, and behavioural sciences. He started his career on the Omnicom DAS Accelerate graduate programme (London and New York.) Additionally, he's advised early-stage health-tech, biotech and athwear start-ups on brand.

Freddie holds an M.A. Honours (First Class, Dean's List) in Modern History and Business Management from the University of St. Andrews.
